Tied on a size 12 jig hook and a 3.8mm inverting tungsten bead to naturally balance the fly. This fly is super effective in lakes and rivers alike, especially tailwaters. Under an indicator on still water, the file rides balanced and if you tie it on with a loop knot, it will rock up and down when there’s chop on the water and trigger bite after bite.
Sometimes if the bite gets cold, changing colors will turn it back on. So I like to carry all 3 colors.
