Semperfli Fly Tying Wire
Fly tying wires are used in all disciplines of fly fishing, however the market offerings were inconsistent with amount per spool, colors and often they would go rusty after several uses. Due to this we turned our focus onto wires and improving the fly tyers experience.
All the Semperfli wires are non tarnishing and come in a large range of colors.
0.1mm (X-small) Wire is ultrafine and can be used even for small dry flies and it is micro light. 30 meters per spool. Approx 42 SWG
0.2mm (Brassie) Wire is ideal for Lures, Streamers, Salmon, Saltwater and Predator flies. 20 meters per spool. Approx 36 SWG
0.3mm (Medium) Wire is ideal for ribbing and adding weight to a fly, from delicate Nymphs and Dries through to large Bugs, Saltwater and of course the famous Brassie Nymphs. 10.5 meters per spool
0.5mm (Large) Wire is ideal for ribbing and adding weight to a fly, from delicate Nymphs and Dries through to large Bugs, Saltwater and of course the famous Brassie Nymphs. 6 meters per spool. We were asked to create a 0.5mm Wire as fly tyers were stripping it out of old television cables and were stuck to the desired colors.
