Driftstone Inverting Tungsten Beads 50pk
Take any nymph hook and turn it into a jig hook. These offset beads will move the mass in front of the hook eye causing them to invert and ride hook point up. You’ll snag the bottom less and get more secure hookups in the roof of the fish’s mouth.
You can also take longer patters like streamers and leeches and get them to ride balanced and level using these on a jig hook. No longer do you need to tie on a balancing pin, just pair an inverting bead on a jig hook.
The process for tying them in:
Slide the hook point into the small side of the bead. Leave a gap between the hook eye and the bead.
Put 3 or more wraps of lead-free wire behind the bead.
Put a drop of superglue in front of the bead.
Invert the hook and slide the lead-free wire and bead forward. Jam the lead wire into the recess and the superglue will hold the wire and bead in place.
3.3mm - 30 centigrams // Hook #12-16
3.8mm - 46.2 centigrams // Hook #8-12
